The U.S. population is aging and many communities are not prepared to meet the needs of this special group. Services to care for loved ones requiring more supervision, socialization, and stimulation are few and far between. In addition, the atmosphere may not provide the inviting or comforting feeling the caregiver desires for their loved one.
Current alternatives include “in home” care services or choosing between a career and the needs of the loved one. Each of these options, under the right circumstances, may be necessary, however the financial burden is often onerous, isolation and loneliness the unfortunate consequences.
The inspiration for Sadie’s Place NY comes from the challenges our own families experienced finding an appropriate place for a loved one that required supervision, but not assisted living. The conflicts between career responsibilities and concern for the well-being of our family member caused much stress and sadness.
Flexible and extended hours, affordable rates, socialization, in-home companion care, transportation, and care management services bring much needed respite and peace of mind that all loving caregivers and families deserve.
We welcome any suggestions to improve our services and thank you for your support.
